She has been interested in health and well-being since an early age, studying Eastern life style, including macrobiotics and Japanese medicine, Ayurveda, meditation, hypnotherapy and spirituality.
She has had a varied career including a period in retail, introducing Japanese Futons to Australia, several years as a stylist and wardrobe mistress on numerous TV shows and commercials. In addition she has also taught cooking, astrology and colour therapy.
In 1993 she established The Pleasure Spot, a mail-order product catalogue that was the first in Australia to focus on women and couples sexuality from an educational perspective.
Over the past 16 years she has worked as a counselor assisting people to find happiness and balance in areas of sexuality and relationship. She runs her private practice from Sydney working with individuals, couples and groups.
As a sex educator she has also appeared on numerous TV programs including Big Brother, Beauty & the Beast, A Current Affair and contributes to Cleo and New Woman magazine and writes regularly for the Adelaide Advertiser.
As part of her ongoing commitment to personal growth and development her passion has taken her to the challenging and exciting opportunities that ageing provides.

Esmé Holmes

From an early age Esmé had no other option than to make health and wellbeing her life focus. She lived with a chronic illness through out her childhood to her late twenties and one day made a decision that she had had enough. Esmé made the decision to LIVE.
Through these challenging physical conditions she has healed herself from chronic asthma by using diet, meditation, music and light as healing. This formed the basis of her soul searching journey to find a source of infinite healing from deep within.
For 7 years she trained in the Eastern spiritual practices of meditation and yoga. She later became a facilitator in education courses for health and lifestyle. Esmé also studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and is well-known as a professional singer and songwriter. In 1987 her music was played at the Cannes Music Festival and later shown on European MTV.
Her thirst for wellbeing for all led her to training and working with many indigenous cultures (including the Kahunas in Hawaii) to facilitate healing and wellness between cultures.
Esmé has worked in counseling & professional creative development from her Sydney-based private practice for the past 16 years. She works with individuals, couples and groups using traditional, transpersonal counseling.
Her background as a holistic psychotherapist draws on her professional and academic training in Psychology, Clinical Drug Dependence, Art, Clinical Hypnotherapy and extensive training in Jungian Analytical Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodrama, Narrative Therapy, Music and Sound Healing and meditation techniques to achieve the positive change the client desires.
Esmé believes working with the body, mind, emotions and soul is essential to access the boundless potential within all of us. The greatest gift she can pass on to others is that which gives her the quality of life she enjoys today. A wealth of health, happiness and love. Now she embraces her journey of sharing the many age old and rediscovered secrets of positive-ageing to others.
